SunMountain - Rays of Hope and other writings
My passion is to create projects that combine my love of movement, language, color, drama and faith into various artistic mediums; to use my art to convey life-giving, life-affirming messages; and in capturing a particular moment or story, help the viewer or reader see the world a bit differently.
Rays of Hope
My first book, Rays of Hope, was first published in 2008, with a second edition published in 2011. The creation of the book was the culmination of a two-year journey and brings together my love of digital photography, poetry and prose, with my faith, and unwavering outlook to find rays of hope in any and every situation.
This book has already been a great encouragement to many going through difficult seasons, and it makes a great conversation piece for a coffee table book. There is a print and ebook versions available for purchase through Blurb.com. Check out the previews below and bless yourself and a friend with a copy!
The majority of the proceeds of this book are donated to one of my favorite charities, Rose Hill Cottages, which provides affordable housing and care to foster children and families in East King County, Washington.
This column will be devoted to words of encouragement and preview posts of material from my next book which is in the works. Links to recent blog posts are listed below. For a complete list, visit the blog page.

02/24/2013 - It is easy to dance to the "music playing in my head", or "dance to the rhythm of my OWN drumming", but it is a whole other matter when we try to get in sync with someone else. This note explores how to develop trust in your faith and relationships, as well as the traps we fall into that hinder that trust.
03/21/2012 - This doesn't really fit the "recent" category, but it is the post that started it all, and is the inspiration behind my next book: A Divine Partnership: Learning How to Follow Jesus and Dance Your Way Through Life
